Patches Have Symbolism.

OUR PATCH IS NO DIFFERENT.

Shape: This is the same as our Sheriff’s patch and our foundational element.

Color: The black, grey, and white symbolize our day and night capabilities.

Sheriff: The word Sheriff over the top indicates who we serve under.

Horse and Helicopter: Original deputies for the KCSO patrolled this area on horseback. In the spirit of this our new “horse” is the helicopter.

Air Support: This is our primary mission role.

The State of Idaho: This is our area of response.

The Number One: Since we are the very first air support unit in Idaho, we proudly wear the number 1 on our patch and ship.
